BEDEE James W. James W. Bedee, 74, of Sylvania, passed away on Saturday, May 30, 2015, surrounded by his family at the University of Toledo Medical College. He was born at home on White Street to Ralph and Bernice Bedee on June 11, 1940. Jim graduated from Waite High School and attended both The University of Toledo and Bowling Green State University. Jim and Cathy had just celebrated their 47th anniversary in May. Jim was a Westinghouse Sales Associate for 25 years, then started his own business, Power Systems Associates in 1990. He was a voracious reader, loved boating, fishing Lake Erie, Bear Lake vacations with family and refinishing furniture for family members. Jim is survived by his wife Mary Catherine “Cathy”; sons, Scott (Jennifer), Jason, and Eric (Carrie); grandchildren, Cortney, Benjamin, Emma, Rilee and Drew; brothers, Larry (Marianne) and Richard (Kathy); nieces and nephews, Matt (Deanna), Stephanie (Keith) Hine, Aaron Bedee and Sarah Bedee; and his very special aunt, Mary Louise Bedee and cousin, Nancy Robertson. Jim was preceded in death by his grandparents, Walter and Lois Bedee and Gladys Durocher; parents Ralph and Bernice Bedee; uncle, Bob Bedee; and cousins, Ronald Bedee and Randy Robertson. Friends are invited to visit from 4-8 p.m. Friday, in the Ansberg-West Funeral Home, 3000 Sylvania Avenue, (between Secor and Douglas Roads). Friends may also visit from 11 a.m. until the time of the funeral service at 12 noon, on Saturday, at the funeral home. Reverend Lillian French, Jim’s sister-in-law, will officiate. Interment will follow at Ottawa Hills Memorial Park.
