Florence I. Willer

Florence Irene Leatherman Willer went home to be with the Lord Thursday, July 26, 2012. She was born September 29, 1924 to Grace (Beard) and Wilbur R. Leatherman in Canton, OH. She was a graduate of Wadsworth High School, worked for many years in the corporate offices of the Ohio Injector Company, and served as the Christian Education Coordinator for Bethany Lutheran Church, Toledo, OH for nearly 15 years retiring in the late 1980's. Florence married the Rev. Rudolf H. Willer on June 21, 1953 and faithfully served alongside her husband as he pastored Christ Lutheran, Cambridge, OH; St. Paul Lutheran, Akron, OH; Bethany Lutheran, Toledo, OH; and in retirement St. Mark Lutheran, Toledo, OH; St. John Lutheran, Hicksville, OH and Olivet Lutheran, Sylvania, OH. She is the loving mother/grandmother of, and survived by: Roger (Carole) Willer, David (Grace) Willer, and Sherry (Andrew) Krieger and 9 grandchildren, Christopher, Elise, Michael, Renate, Cara, Brooke, Jessica, Cassidy and Cory. She is also survived by sister Ruth (Ed) Winkler, brother Robert (Phyllis) Leatherman, Howard (Nancy) Leatherman, and LeRoy (Ruth Ann) Leatherman. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Rudolf Willer, daughter Shirley Ann Willer, brother and sister-in-law Clyde and Virginia Leatherman. To her children and extended family she was the heart of the family. She was a woman of great faith which she shared with joy, abundant love for her family and friends, and she taught us all how to be better people in this world of trial and tribulation. There will be visitation concluding with a remembrance service on Sunday, July 29 4 - 8 pm (Remembrance service at 7:30pm) at Ansberg West Funeral Home, 3000 W. The Celebration of Resurrection will be held Monday, July 30, 2012, at Jerusalem Lutheran Church, 9282 Acme Road, Seville, OH 44273; 330.336.4770; www.jelc-seville.org The family will hold a visitation at the church 12:30 ??" 1:30 before the funeral at 1:30pm, with immediate Burial at Woodlawn Cemetery, Wadsworth Ohio.
