Marsha Ann Kliem

Marsha Ann Kliem (Heldman) born July 21,1945 died on November 20, 2023. She leaves behind her husband of almost 55 years, Edward, daughters Michele (Bryan Hausner) Kliem of Atlanta, Georgia, Jennifer (Scooter) Stopera of Toledo, Ohio, and 4 beloved grandchildren Sydney Stopera, Wilson Stopera, Jackson Hausner and Jonas Hausner. Marsha was the only child of Howard and Theresa Heldman. She was born and raised in Struthers, Ohio, graduating from Struthers High School in 1963. She briefly attended Miami University, where she became a member of Alpha Omicron Pi. She went on to graduate with a retail merchandising degree from Youngstown State University. Marsha met Ed when he needed a partner in a game of pinball and they married on April 26, 1969. They lived in Struthers, Cleveland and finally settled in Toledo, where they have lived happily for over 50 years. Marsha was the classic stay-at-home mom - she was the school room mom, Girl Scout leader, overall school volunteer, and best carpool mom. She began working at the Catholic Cemeteries in 1991 and continued there until 2020. She took a large amount of pride in her job of assisting people get through some of the toughest moments in their lives. Marsha was a devout fan of University of Michigan football, the Pittsburgh Pirates and the Oakland and now Las Vegas Raiders. She was always willing to make a friendly wager with friends on a game. She looked forward to an abundance of snow each winter and spring. Marsha enjoyed nothing more than spending time with her family and dogs. Whether it be playing board games, going to the movies, trying new restaurants, following the athletic endeavors of her grandchildren or the family favorite - beach vacation. Marsha was preceded in death by her parents and in-laws, Nick and Frances Kliem, beloved cousin, Bubby Heldman, her sister-in-law, JoAnn Kliem, brother-in-law, Nick Kliem and many other friends and family members, including her beloved dogs through the years, especially Roscoe. Friends and family may come to pay their respects to Marsha on Sunday, November 26, 2023 from 2:00pm to 6:00pm at the Ansberg-West Funeral Home, 3000 Sylvania Avenue. Funeral services will commence at 10:00am, Monday November, 27 at the funeral home, followed by interment in Resurrection Cemetery.
