Agnes C. "Midge" Rasik

Agnes Rasik, 97, passed away on October 25, 2018 at Franciscan Care Center. Agnes, or Midge as her family knew her, was the daughter of Vincent and Clara McGuire Heintschel (who died in childbirth). Agnes was raised by her loving stepmother, Florence Yenzer Heintschel. Surviving to cherish her memory are her brothers Paul "Matt" and Marcia Heintschel, Marvin (Judy) Heintschel, her sister Ruthann Heintschel, sister-in-law Gay Heintschel Wolstencroft, many nieces and nephews, her life-long friend Mitzi Staskiewiczand long time friend Linda Conrad. Agnes is preceded in death by her husband Walter J. Rasik, her parents, sisters Dorothy Sayers (William) and Catherine Heintschel, brothers Vincent (Anne) Heintschel, Howard (Gay) Heintschel, and Phillip (Deanna) Heintschel. Agnes worked at the Toledo Society for the Blind for many years and retired in 1983. Since retiring she was a member of the Eleanor Kahle Senior Center and the Sylvania Senior Center. For more than three decades she has been a member of the “Over 50 Group” of Christ the King Parish in Toledo. Agnes has called Oakleaf Village of Toledo her home for the past six years. The family would like to thank the staff at Oakleaf Village for their loving care of Agnes during her stay there. Friends are invited to visit after 9:00am on Tuesday October 30, 2018 at Christ the King Catholic Church4100 Harvest Lane, Toledo Ohio 43623, where the Mass of the Resurrection will begin at 10:00am. Rev. Bill Rose Officiant. Burial will be at 1:00pm at Resurrection Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made in Agnes’s name to the Toledo Society for the Blind (1002 Garden Lake Pkwy, Toledo, Ohio 43614).
