Artie Heaps Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

Heaps Artie Artie Heaps, 86, left this temporary home August 10, 2010 to go home and be with his Lord. He was born in Jellico TN. on January 24, 1924 to Mattie (Vaughn) and Linus Heaps. Artie served his country honorably during World War II in the Army Signal Corp. Upon returning home, he married his sweetheart Lorene Love Redmond on June 7, 1947. Prior to his retirement, he was employed at Champion Spark Plug as a shipping supervisor and was a member of the Square Club. He enjoyed gardening, collecting antiques, was a 32nd degree Mason and a member of the Shrine. He is survived by his loving family, wife of 63 years, Lorene Heaps; children, Artie Kaye (Lane) Kellar and Roger Heaps; grandchildren, Lame (Amy) Kellar II, Casey (Kory) Petiniot, Nichole (Alan) Groll. His eight great-grandchildren will miss their Pappaw, Kayne, Lane III, Kory, Shelby, Kyler, A.J., Riley and Fontanna. Also surviving are brother Charlie (Nila) Heaps, and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by 12 siblings. Daddy your love, shaking chuckle when you laughed and always caring and being there for us will be missed more than you will ever know. Love, your family.
