Betty J. Grovey, 87, passed away on October 22, 2007 in the Lake Park Comfort Care Center. She was born in Toledo on April 8, 2007 to Frank and Birdie McGibbeny. Betty was a lifelong member at Augsburg Lutheran Church. She was a founding member of the World War II Memorial Fund in which she was very active. Most important to Betty was time spent with her family and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband of 53 years Raymond Grovey. She is survived by her loving family, daughters, Patricia Dermer and Lucinda (Robert) Biglin; grandchildren, Paige Biglin, Molly Biglin and Andrew Dermer; special neighbor and friend Iona Bach. Betty's family wishes to extend sincere thanks to the third floor staff of the Lake Park Comfort Care Center/ Hospice Staff for the loving care that she received. Friends are invited to visit from 4:00-8:00PM today, Tuesday October 23, 2007 in the Ansberg-West Funeral Home, 3000 Sylvania Ave. Funeral services will begin at 11:30AM on Wednesday at the Toledo Memorial Park Cemetery in Sylvania. Those wishing to attend are welcome to gather in the front parking lot of the cemetery prior to the service time. Memorial contributions may be made to the World War II Memorial Fund, or the Augsburg Lutheran Church.
