Carol J. Hill Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

Carol Jeanne (Wawrzyniak) Hill, age 82, of Toledo, passed away Wednesday, December 23, 2020 at Cambrian Memory Care of Tecumseh in Tecumseh, MI under the Care of Hospice of Lenawee County. Carol was born January 6, 1938 in Toledo, OH to Walter and Pauline (Staniszewski) Wawrzyniak. She was a loving and devoted wife, mother, and Grammy to her husband, 2 children and 3 grandchildren and a member of Christ the King Catholic Church for over 40 years. Carol was an avid polka and swing dancer and loved attending many dances and events with her husband, William “Bill” Hill. She loved cooking and keeping her Polish traditions alive through food, family, and friends. She attended Central Catholic High School and was a graduate of Whitney High School. She worked for several years as a Secretary at Champion Spark Plug, worked in the office at S&S Control, and as a Receptionist at Kappus, Miller, & Piggott Pediatricians. She was active with the Blessed Sacrament Rosary Altar Society and worked in the Library at Blessed Sacrament School. She was also a Treasurer for the Whitmer High School Band Boosters for several years. Carol was preceded in death by her parents and her loving husband of 47 years, Bill. She is survived by her sister Judy (Jerry) Rex; sons Gregory (Theresa) Hill and Scott (Tina) Hill; grandchildren Michael Hill, Patrick (Samantha) Hill, and Allyssa Hill; nephew Jeffrey (Robin) Rex and niece Jenny (Jeremy) Geiser. Visitation will be held in the Christ the King Church Narthex, 4100 Harvest Lane, Toledo, OH at 9:00 A.M. Monday, January 4, 2021. A service will be held immediately following at 10:00 A.M. The service will be offered through Live Streaming on your phone or PC at www.cktoledo.org. You can access the live stream 5 minutes prior to the mass starting. We ask that all Covid-19 safety precautions be adhered to, including wearing a mask and social distancing. Interment will be at Calvary Cemetery immediately following.
