MOOREHEAD Carole “Joyce” Carole “Joyce” Moorehead, 79, of Toledo, OH, passed away Saturday, August 27, 2016, at The Toledo Hospital, surrounded by her loved ones. She was born May 16, 1937, in Kearny, NB and was the daughter of Doyle and Vivian (Keenan) Gallington. oyce was a seamstress for many years for trade and for hobby. She loved making clothes, holiday crafts, wedding gowns and costumes. She loved her many beloved cats that she had over her lifetime. Many of which were strays that she brought in off the street. Joyce touched so many lives over the years with her heart of solid gold. She was never afraid of telling you like it is and you never had to wonder what she was thinking, because she was going to tell you whether you liked it or not…. And we all loved her dearly for it. She loved Christmas and was a Nebraska Cornhusker football fan. Survivors include her husband of 63 years, James K. Moorehead; daughter, Linda L. (Jerry) Stahl; granddaughter, Andrea L. (Michael) Collins-Kajfasz; great-grandchildren, Alayna C. Mata and Emiliano J. Mata. She is also survived by special loved ones, Bob Collins, Bill and Susan Davenport and their daughter, Aubrey; Chuckie Holder and Jose A Mata Jr. Joyce was preceded in death by her parents and her brother, Warren Gallington. Friends are invited to visit on Thursday, September 1, 2016, from 3-8 p.m., in the Ansberg-West Funeral Home, 3000 Sylvania Avenue, (between Secor and Douglas Roads), where funeral services will be held on Friday, September 2, 2016, at 11 a.m. Pastor Scott Isham will officiate.
