Clara Belle Wretschko Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

Clara Belle Wretschko, age 94, passed from this life on April 23, 2015, at Drews Place Village Green in Hillsdale, Michigan. She was born to Harry and L. Geneva Crisp of Pittsford, Michigan on March 20, 1921. Clara was a graduate of Addison High School and Davis Business College. She was employed by the former George L. Freeman Company and the Maumee Valley Supply Company for 42 years. Clara enjoyed life and always had a joyful, loving, generous, and caring spirit. She loved to travel, her calendar was always full of social events, and she never missed acknowledging a birthday. She cherished her family and friends. Clara volunteered at St. Luke's Hospital in Maumee, Ohio, was active in Team One and Team Six, and a lifetime member of the St. Luke's Auxiliary. She also delivered Mobile Meals for many years. She was preceded in death by her parents; husbands, John A. Kemper and John C. Wretschko; daughter, Sally T. (Kemper) Hickman; brother, Rex W. Crisp, and sister, Elizabeth J. Cortright. She is survived by son, Brian W. Wretschko (Starr Stamp) of Phoenix, Arizona; grandchildren, Alisa Reniker (Dan) Guastella, of Mesa, Arizona, Brent C. Wretschko of Chandler, Arizona, Christine Dennis of Arvada, Colorado, John Hickman of Perrysburg, Ohio, and Kimberly (John) Curtis and Jenni (Mark) Augustyniak of Temperance, Michigan; seven great-grandchildren, and 5 great-great-grandchildren. She is also survived by a sister, Jo Nell Paulsen of Pittsford, Michigan; sister-in-law, Joan Crisp of Cincinnati, Ohio; brother-in-law, Robert Wretschko of Grand Rapids, Michigan, and sister-in-law, Nancy Wretschko of Toledo, Ohio, and many loving nieces and nephews. Clara lived her entire adult life in Toledo, Ohio until moving into assisted living in Hillsdale, Michigan in January of 2014. The family would like to extend its thanks and appreciation to the staff of Drews Place Village Green and Hospice of Hillsdale for the wonderful care she received. A memorial service and celebration of life will be held on June 12 at Ansberg-West, 3000 W. Sylvania Ave., Toledo, Ohio.
