Cornelia A. “Corrie” Pryba, 77, passed away on January 12, 2017. Corrie spent the last of her time at Ebeid Hospice of Sylvania, where her 2 year battle with ovarian cancer met her fate. She was born, July 14, 1939, in Rotterdam, Holland, during the beginning of WWII. In 1961 she applied for sponsorship to come to the United States and arrived in New York and ended up in Toledo. Her first job was with Bell and Beckwith, working with penny stocks. She moved on to the restaurant business where she spent 20 years at El Greco’s and owned Corrie’s Bar and Grill for 6 years, which she was known for her chicken livers. She along with her husband, Delroy Pryba were the owners of DelRoy Products and Pest Control, Inc. Corrie is survived by her son, Cornelius Pryba and grandchildren, Kasey Pryba and Adriana Pryba. She was preceded in death by her husband, Delroy Pryba, in 1999. At Corrie’s request there will be no visitation or funeral service. The family would like to thank the staff at Ebeid Hospice Residence for their comforting care and the parishioners at Christ the King Catholic Church for all their prayers.
