Damian Ruggiero

August 16, 1970 - November 29, 2021

Damian Ruggiero, 51, of Toledo, passed away from a brief illness Monday, November 29, 2021 at St. Vincent Hospital, Toledo. He was born August 16, 1970 to Anthony and Marjorie (Reinbolt) Ruggiero Jr. and graduated from Columbian High School in 1989; then attended the University of Toledo. He loved working on Put-in-Bay at the Round House Bar, Heineman’s Winery, and The Dairy Queen. After marrying Anne Miller September 9, 2000 and settling in Toledo, he worked at Treu House of Munch and Gordan Food Service. Damian was a loving father who would do anything for his three children. He was the family chef with his specialty being Italian food and loved entertaining. Details were extremely important to him. He was an avid OSU fan and passionate about supporting our military troops and law enforcement officers. Damian is survived by his three beautiful and loving children, Grace, Nicholas, and Joseph all of Toledo and their mother, Anne Miller Ruggiero; his father, Anthony Ruggiero Jr. of Tiffin.; brothers, Anthony (Amy) Ruggiero III of Dublin, Michael (Sarah) Ruggiero of North Baltimore; sister, Ann (Larry) Bowman of Tiffin; in-laws, Sarah (Steve) Dent of Dayton, Mark (Lindsay) Miller of Toledo, and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his mother, Marjorie Ruggiero. Visitation will be Wednesday, December 8, 2021 at Ansberg West Funeral Home in Toledo from 3-7 p.m. A catholic funeral mass will be held at Historic St. Patrick’s Cathedral in Toledo on Thursday, December 9 at 11:00 with visitation beginning at 10:00 prior to the mass. A graveside burial service will take place on December 10, 2021 at 1:00 at St. Mary’s Cemetery Tiffin, Ohio. Memorial contributions may be made to the Ruggiero Children’s Educational Fund through Huntington Bank or a charity of the donor’s choice.
