Earle A. McGaffey III
May 30, 1982 - November 18, 2021
Earle “Moose” McGaffey, III was called to Heaven on Thursday, November 18, 2021. Moose was a gentle giant that was always there for his friends and family with a tight bear hug or a helping hand. Earle graduated from Central Catholic High School in 2000 and followed in his father’s footsteps accomplishing journeymen status as a millwright. He worked as a plumber, and anything that required working with his beautiful hands. He was an avid hunter, fisherman, and filled his spare time with a video game and cooking for his family and friends. His nickname Moose was a treasure all of its own and he lived up to it each and every day. Moose loved with everything he had and no job was too small or large when it came to showing up for a friend. His smile, his heart, his spirit, and his generosity will be missed, but never forgotten. Earle is survived by his mother, Trish McGaffey (Chuck Vencill), his brothers Dan and Steve, his sister Diana (Jeff Beazley), his nephews Griffin McGaffey, Andrew, Evan, and Mathew Beazley, and his favorite niece Kylie Beazley. He is preceded in death by the light of his life, his dad, Earle Andrew McGaffey, Jr. who passed in 2000 and his grandparents (Earle Sr. and Phyllis McGaffey). His entire family finds peace in the Lord that they are riding their Harleys in heaven and finally reunited. Moose’s family asks you to join them in his “farewell for now” open house at Ansberg-West Funeral Home from 3:00-7:00PM on Tuesday, November 23, 2021. Funeral services will begin on Wednesday, November 24, 2021 at 11:00AM at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Toledo Memorial Park to lay him to rest next to his dad. Bring your Harleys! In lieu of flowers, please get you and your loved ones vaccinated against COVID-19, schedule time to give platelets at the American Red Cross or donate to COVID-19 research.
