Elizabeth J. "Lizette" Voudouris

Elizabeth “Lizette” J. Voudouris, 87, passed away on October 19, 2018 at Kingston Care Center in Sylvania, Ohio. She was born in Marseilles, France on May 25, 1931 of Maria and Costandinos Psallis. She arrived in the United States on April 19, 1955. She met her husband John Voudouris on the front stairs of Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Cathedral ,Toledo, Ohio in October of 1955, they were engaged May25th, 1957 and then married August 25th 1957. Elizabeth together with her husband John owned and operated Ted’s Hamburger Shop and Parking lot in downtown Toledo. She made homemade daily specials and loved to cook for her customers and friends and family. She was a dedicated member of Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Cathedral. She absolutely loved her church and was involved in many of the church’s activities. Elizabeth was a member of Daughters of Penelope, for over 50 years. She was fluent in French, Greek and English. Elizabeth was a kind and loving woman who’s greatest joy came from spending time with her friends, family and helping at her church. She survived by her loving children, Ted Voudouris, Christina (Nikolaos) Petousis; grandsons Christian and John Petousis. Friends are invited to visit on Tuesday October 23, 2018 from 5:00-8:00pm in the Ansberg-West Funeral Home, 3000 Sylvania Avenue where Trisagion prayers will begin at 7:00pm. Funeral services will begin at 10:00am on Wednesday at Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Cathedral. Rev. Larry Legakis Officiant. Interment will be in Toledo Memorial Park Cemetery.
