Esther A. McKenzie

Esther A. McKenzie, 84, formerly of Toledo, passed away Tuesday, February 13, 2007, at the West Toledo Rehabilitation Center. She was born October 25, 1922, in Toledo and was the daughter of John and Josephine (Wasielewski) Komasinski. Esther was a Woodward High School Graduate, member of Regina Coeli Church and former emember of the Alter Rosary Society. In her earlier years, Esther and her husband were very active on various committees at Regina Coeli Church including the church festival. Survivors include her son, Jack (Christine) McKenzie; daughter, Carol (Bill) Shinaver; grandchildren, Shauna (Joel) Peterson, Tami Hyter, Jason McKenzie, John McKenzie; great-grandchildren, Kara "Err Babe"Hyter, Julia McKenzie Peterson, Alexander Peterson. She was preceded in death by her husband Jack McKenzie in 1981 and her sister Alice Komasinski. Friends are invited to visit from 4:00-800PM Friday in the Ansberg-West Funeral Home 3000 Sylvania Ave. where prayers will begin at 9:00AM on Saturday immediately followed by a funeral mass at 9:30AM in Regina Coeli Church. Interment in Calvary Cemetery. Esther's family wishes to extend special thanks to the West Toledo Rehab Center and station 4 for the loving care that Esther received.
