Hilda "Micki" Weyant
March 29, 1932 - May 15, 2018
Hilda, but known as "Micki" to friends, K. Weyant, 86, 1100 Grandon Way, Mechanicsburg, PA, died Tuesday, 15 May 2018, at Brookdale, Grandon Farms. She was the widow of Robert J. Weyant. A 1950 graduate, (graduating 6 months early!), of Scott High School in Toledo, she worked as a bookkeeper for several Toledo area companies, starting with Romanoff Electric in 1950 and finishing in 1986 with Zimmerman Heating. She later worked in the cafeteria at Central Catholic High School, and owned a gift shop, "Micki's Gift Shop" in Seagate Center, in downtown Toledo. A member of the Order of the Eastern Star, she spent many of her later years involved as a member of Greater Beneficial Union 510, the Fraternal Order of Eagles 5050, and over 35 years as a member of the Ladies Auxiliary of the American Legion Conn-Weisenberger Post 587. In 2013 through 2018, she moved to and lived on the United States east coast, lastly residing in Brookdale Grandon Farms in Mechanicsburg, PA, where she became close friends with Mrs. Mary Lucas also living at Brookdale Grandon Farms (they looked after each other!) Surviving are her son, Lynn Petersen (wife Alena), daughter, Shanna Williams, step-son, Kurt Weyant (wife Carolyn), nephew, Chris Chase (wife Valerie); grandchildren: Madelyn Petersen, Robert Petersen, Latrice Lewis, Amy Blossom, Beth Lukasik and Sarah Dutra; great grandchildren: William "Liam" Petersen, Joleeah White, Tremaine Johnson, Jazmyne Lewis, Alexa Blossom, Dylan Blossom, Anthony Martinez, Brendan Van Slyke, and Lilly Lukasik, and great-great grandchild: Tyson Martinez. A special friend also noted is Mrs. Rosemary Loolen. Friends are invited to visit at Ansberg West Funeral Home, 3000 W Sylvania Avenue on Tuesday, 22 May from 4-8 PM, where funeral services will be held on Wednesday, 23 May at 11 AM. Interment will follow in Toledo Memorial Park.
