Laux James Arthur James A. Laux, 87, passed away on Friday October 19, 2012 in St. Vincent Mercy Medical Center. He was born in Toledo on January 13, 1925 to Mabel (Koepher) and Alphonse Laux. James was a graduate of Scott High School. He served his country honorably during World War II in the Pacific Theatre aboard the Pintado Submarine and recently made the Honor Flight. He was employed for many years as a sheet metal worker for the Lumm Company and also for VM Systems prior to his retirement. He was a long time parishioner of St. Clements's Church and had a special devotion to the Blessed Virgin. He loved history and enjoyed working on automobiles. He is survived by his loving wife of 63 years, Jeanne; children, Diana (Jim) Nafziger, Janet (Tom) Biblewski, Robert Laux, Richard (Julie) Laux, and Marilyn (Mathew) McCarty; grandchildren, David, Jonathon, Kathryn, Troy, Chad, Jason, Laura, Jared, James, Megan; four great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his siblings Robert “Bud” Laux, Rosemary Fischer and brother-in-law Don Compton. Friends are invited to visit from 2:00-8:00PM on Monday October 22, 2012 in the Ansberg-West Funeral Home, 3000 Sylvania Ave where Rosary and Scripture services will begin at 7:00PM. Prayers will begin in the funeral home on Tuesday at 9:20AM and will be immediately followed by the Mass of the Resurrection beginning at 10:00AM at St. Clement's Church, Rev. Michael O. Brown officiant. Interment will be in Resurrection Cemetery. Those wishing to make memorial contributions are asked to consider the charity of the donor's choice.
