Jean P. Binkley, 75, of Bradenton Florida passed away on March 14, 2010 in Doctor's Hospital in Sarasota. She was bon in Toledo on September 27, 1934 to Audrey and John Peters. Jean was a graduate of DeVilbiss High School, The University of Toledo and Butler University with a master's degree Magna Cum Laude. She taught school for 42 years in Toledo and Indianapolis. She moved from Fishers Indiana to Bradenton Florida in 1999. She enjoyed volunteering at the Ringling Museum and Selby Library. Jean loved to travel, garden, read, spend summers at Devil's Lake and spend time with her dog Beau. She is survived by her brother Jack W. (Linda) Peters; cousin, Joan (Ron) Byram; nephew John T. Peters; niece Andrea (Matt) Johnson; great-nephews Dane Peters and Dylan Johnson; great-nieces Alexi Peters and Emma Johnson. She was preceded in death by her parents. Friends are invited to visit on Friday March 19, 2010 from 4:00-7:00PM in the Ansberg-West Funeral Home, 3000 Sylvania Ave. where funeral services will be held at 11:00AM on Saturday. Rev.Robert Wuellner Officiant. Interment in Toledo Memorial Park. A memorial service will be held for Jean on March 28th from 2:00-5:00PM in her home. Those wishing to make memorial contributions are asked to consider Cocker Rescue.
