Joseph R. Gentile Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

Joseph R. Gentile, 74, passed away on Thursday September 23, 2010 in his Toledo home. He was born in Cleveland on February 25, 1936 to Concetta and Raymond Gentile. Prior to his retirement, he was employed for 32 years by the Dana Corporation as a Transmission Specialist. He was a member of VFW Post 2898 and the Moose Lodge. Joseph was an avid golfer and fan of the Cleveland Indians and Cleveland Browns. His greatest joy in life came from spending time with his beloved family. He is survived by his loving wife of 52 years, Nettie Gentile; children, Concetta Baiz, Raymond Gentile, Dawn Gentile; siblings, Ann (Charles) Immormino, Josephine (Jimmy) Heraghty, Donna Rae (Daniel) McCue, and Raymond Gentile; 5 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents and son-in-law Larry Baiz. Joe's family wishes to extend special thanks to Promedica Hospice for the excellent care that he received. Friends are invited to visit from 2:00-8:00pm on Monday September 27, 2010 in the Ansberg-West Funeral Home, 3000 Sylvania Ave. where funeral services will begin on Tuesday at 11:00am.
