Kathleen A Fesh Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

Kathleen A. Fesh was born June 30th, 1939in Elmira, New York to Joseph and Susan Sullivan. She died peacefully, at the age of 83, on July 21st, 2022, at Hospice of NW Ohio. She was a graduate of Notre Dame Academy in Elmira, New York, and had dreams of becoming a nurse, but life (also known as Mike) had different plans for her. She married Michael J. Fesh in 1958. She and her husband eventually moved to Toledo with three of their four children, and completed their family with their fourth child, while residing here. She held many professional positions throughout her life, but raising her children was always her greatest accomplishment. She was the epitome of a MOTHER–being her children’s moral compass throughout their lives. She loved to travel all over the world with her husband, Mike, and their best friends. She volunteered as a Brownie, Webelo Leader, and at St. Vincent Hospital. She was a proud member of St. Agnes Parish for many years, later becoming a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Sylvania. Cursillo retreats and being involved in marriage programs with Mike were some of her favorite things to volunteer at. Later in life, she looked forward to having breakfast with her church group every Saturday morning and attending mass with her friends and family. You could always find her at a sporting event, cheering on her family, and taking so much joy in capturing everything on film. She also loved spending time at home with all her family over for dinner. The kids especially loved her Italian meals, which she learned from her in-laws in New York. She had an affinity for classical music, and all things Christmas. Anytime you stopped by to say hello to her, you could almost guarantee she was watching a tennis match. She was affectionately known as “Bubbles” by her grand and great grandchildren. Kathleen is survived by her children, Elaine Sweet (Ray Peterson),her children Angela Sweet-Etolla and Phil Etoll, their children –Tatum and Quinn Operasz, and Nolan Etoll.Megan and CJ Taylor.Katie and Paul Barnett, and his daughter Carina Barnett.Michael Fesh and Lora Johnson,his children,Tony and Kristen Fesh.David and Jessica Fesh –along with their children –Tyler Shular and Alyvia Fesh.Mark and Rose Fesh, their children, Brian Fesh, Mandee and Joe Bair, and their children –Eleanor and Veda Bair, and Mitch and Zeny Fesh.John and Vicki (Sedlak) Fesh, his children, Nicholas (Jeana Kingsbury) and Jordan Fesh (Marshall Garcia). Her children –Jimmy, Jessica,and Alex Sedlak.She is also survived by her beautiful friends, Kay Vogel, Oma, the members of the Saturday Morning Church/Breakfast Club, and extended family in Upstate New York. She is preceded in death by her husband Michael J. Fesh, who passed away March 17, 2010, and her parents, and brother Larry Sullivan. Friends are invited to visit from 2:00PM to 8:00PM on Thursday, July 28th, 2022, in the Ansberg-West Funeral Home, 3000 W. Sylvania Avenue, where a memorial service will commence at 7:00PM. Mass will be held at 11:00AM Friday, July 29th, 2022, at St Joseph Catholic Church, 5373 Main St, Sylvania, OH 43560. You may pay your final respects prior to mass, from 10AM-11AM. Interment at Resurrection Cemetery. Special thanks to the amazing staff at Hospice of Northwest Ohio on Detroit Ave, (especially Michelle and Erica), for providing such wonderful care to our mom/grandma and showing such compassion and kindness to our family in her final days. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made in Kathy’s honor to Hospice of NW Ohio, or the charitable organization of your choice.
