LoEmma G. Snider

LoEmma G. Snider, 97, of Toledo, passed away Wednesday, June 3, 2009, at Harborside of Perrysburg. She was born March 18, 1911, in Marion, OH and was the daughter of William and Gertrude Hultz. LoEmma began working at the library, at an early age to support her family. She left the library to support the War effort, working as a factory worker at Auto-Lite and Burndee's. LoEmma was a strong union member in the U.A.W, and a very loyal Democrat. She enjoyed gardening and following retirement, she enjoyed living in the wilderness, in the UP of Michigan. Survivors include her daughter, Keren Hansen; grandchildren, Julie (Charles) Ford III, Lauren (David) Mocniak, Thor (Helene) Hansen and Trygvie (Timothy) Connerton; numerous great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren. LoEmma was the last of her family of brothers to pass away. Family and friends are invited to visit from 1-3 p.m. Sunday, in the Ansberg-West Funeral Home, 3000 Sylvania Avenue. Memorial contributions may be made to the Toledo Botanical Gardens.
