Louann Marie Vinson

November 4, 2007

Louann Marie (Abel) Vinson, 58, of Toledo, was taken into the Lord's arms unexpectedly on Sunday, November 4, 2007, at her home. She was born February 9, 1949, in Toledo, and was the daughter of Marion and Elizabeth Abel. She was a 1967 graduate of St. Ursula Academy and received her music degree from Mary Manse College. Louann was a parishioner of Blessed Sacrament Church and a member of the church choir. She was also a member of the River Raisin Chapter of the Sweet Adelines, where she served as president. Louann worked at the Toledo Hospital and the Ursuline Convent, both for many years. She further was employed at Dillard's for 10 years and most recently was working for the Toledo Board of Education. Louann had many hobbies which included gardening, swimming, traveling and she loved to dote on her grandchildren. She was passionate about music and is now an angel singing in the Heaven above. Louann was kind, loving and had a very giving heart in which she expected nothing in return. She will be sadly missed by her husband, children, and all those who came in contact with her. Survivors include her loving husband of 39 years, Albert Vinson; daughter, Danniyelle (Lee) Bush; grandchildren Jesse and Brandon Jenkins, and Shannon Bush; son, Sean Vinson and fianc?e Candy Smith and her son, Gaven; many, many nieces and nephews, including Nadine Seemann with whom she shared a special relationship. She is also survived by her brother, Myron (Lorene) Abel; sisters, Marilyn (Duane "Duddie") Conklin, Sharon (Bernard) Mackey and Darlene (James) Slandzicki; brother-in-law, Medford Krieger and special friend, Yvonne Wojtas. Louann was preceded in death by her parents and her sister, Phyllis Krieger. Friends are invited to visit from 2-8 p.m. Thursday, in the Ansberg-West Funeral Home, 3000 Sylvania Avenue (between Douglas and Secor Roads), where the Rosary will be recited at 7 p.m. Prayers will begin at 10 a.m. on Friday at the funeral home, followed by the Funeral Mass at 10:30 a.m. at Blessed Sacrament Church. Father Martin P. Donnelly will officiate. Interment will be at Toledo Memorial Park. Louann, On November 4, 2007, God received His brightest Angel In Heaven. Each night we shed a silent tear, As we speak to you in prayer. To let you know we love you And just how much we care. Take our million teardrops; Wrap them up in love. Then ask the wind to carry them, To you in Heaven above.
