Lucy J. Connable, 94, passed away on June 9, 2010 at Kingston of Sylvania. She was born on March 1, 1916 in Providence, RI to Henry and Bella (MacAllan) Jackson. Lucy was preceded in death by her husband, Carl, in 1981. They were married on July 16, 1938 in Providence. She is survived by her brother, Henry A. Jackson; daughters, Judy (Gary) Bennett of Toledo, and Margery (Victor) Zeller of Westport, MA; grandchildren, Ritch (Wendy) Bennett of Lambertville, MI and children, Tyler, Sierra, and Megan; Allison (Tom) Hardwick of Fairfield, OH and children, Tanner, Jordan, and Trey; Christopher Zeller of Taunton MA, and Sandra (Larry) Strebel of Lafayette, CO. After moving from Providence, Lucy lived in Ann Arbor, MI, Tucson and Sun City, AZ, and Toledo. She was a multitalented person. Lucy graduated from Rhode Island College of Education with a teaching degree. Her many activities included giving speeches for the League of Women Voters, playing classical piano, bell ringing, volunteering, and traveling to foreign lands. A memorial service for Lucy will be held on June 12, 2010 at 3:00 pm in the chapel at Hampton Park Christian Church. Arrangements entrusted to Ansberg-West Funeral Home.
