?????? Manning Luke Spooner, 78, passed away on Wednesday April 25, 2007. He was born in Toledo on April 2, 1929 to Luke and Eleanor Spooner. ?????? Luke, as he was known to friends, was a graduate of DeVilbiss High School, class of 1947 and continued his education at the University of Toledo. Luke went onto become an independant insurance agent until his retirement in 1966. Throughout his life, Luke was a very avid sports fan. In 1956 he witnessed Don Larsen Pitch a perfect game during the World Series at Yankee Stadium. He was also lucky to have met Joe DiMaggio. In addition, Luke was an active bowler. He won numerous tournaments and championships and sponsored many leagues and events as well. ?????? He is survived by his loving family, daughter, Victoria Kavalick; son, Tom (Kay) Spooner; grandchildren, John Kavalick, Michael Cook and great grandson, Mason Kavalick. ?????? Friends are invited to join with his family on Monday April 30th at the Toledo Memorial Park Cemetery where graveside services will begin at 11:00AM. Rev. Robert Wuellner Officiant.
