Marceil M. Carper Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

MARCEIL M. CARPER Marceil M. Carper died peacefully on July 25, 2010, with loving family at her side. She was born in Toledo on August 3, 1921, to DeWayne and Helen Hager, she attended McKinley School and graduated from DeVilbiss High School. Marceil married William Carper in 1942 and they shared 50 years together until Bill's death in 1992. Marceil spent over 20 happy years working as the receptionist in the beautiful lobby of the Willy's Overland Administration Building. Marceil was predeceased by her parents, her husband William L. Carper and siblings Howard (Evelyn) Hager, Dorothy (Milton) Barry, Charles (Ann) Hager, Harry Hager, and William (Doris) Hager. She is survived by her daughter Susan Beck, grandson Jay (Margaret) Beck, great-grandchildren Paige, Maddie and Daniel Beck, sister Donna (Garey) Sherer, dear friend Evelyn Smith, niece Shirley Norell, and many nieces and nephews. She was devoted to her family and especially loved spending time with her grandson and great-grandchildren. For many years Marceil provided wonderful caring babysitting for the children who loved her. A graveside service will be held on Thursday, July 29, 2010, beginning at 11:00 a.m. Friends are invited to gather at the entrance to the Historic Woodlawn Cemetery.
