Marilyn Stuckey

Marilyn B. Stuckey, 95, passed away on January 1, 2022 in St. Luke’s Hospital. She was born in Toledo on October 10, 1926 and was the daughter of Marion (Croft) and James A. Beidler. She married her husband Louis Stuckey in 1949 who preceded her in death. Marilyn was a graduate of Maumee Valley Country Day School class of 1944 and graduated from Wellesley College in 1948. She was an original member of The Toledo Museum of Art Aides where she was also a docent for many years. She served on the boards of Toledo Day Nursery and Sunset House and was a past member of the Junior League of Toledo. Marilyn was also active in the Toledo Wellesley Club. An avid reader, she started a library at Mt. Vernon Elementary School in the early 60’s. She loved nothing more than reading a book and watching sunsets at her cottage on Put-In-Bay. She is survived by her loving children, Katie (Henry) Felkey, Sally (Don Froehlich) Stuckey, John Stuckey; grandchildren, Chris (Sarah) Felkey and Rachel (Scott) Straka; step-granddaughter Sabrina Donato and 3 great-grandsons. Her family wishes to extend special thanks to the staff and caregivers at Oakleaf Village for the excellent care that she received. Per her wishes services will be private.
