Marilyn J. Ulrich, 78, passed away on Wednesday, January 25, 2017 at the Franciscan Care Center. She was born in Toledo on March 13, 1938 to Verena and Clarence Huffmon. Marilyn was a graduate of the University of Toledo, taught at Waite High School for 13 years and was employed at the Toledo Hospital Business office. She enjoyed gardening, traveling, singing and dancing. In her youth, she took ballet lessons and performed in numerous shows in Toledo. Her memberships included Blessed Sacrament Church and Choir, Toledo Symphony Guild, U.T. Alumni Association and the Toledo Choral Society. Marilyn loved antiques, estate sales and hosting dinner parties with beautifully arranged tables. For months in advance, she looked forward to her annual vacation at Devil’s Lake with her husband Tom, family, and countless friends. She is survived by her loving husband of 20 years, Thomas Ulrich Sr.; daughter Becky O’Donnell; sister Carol (Ken) Mauter; 3 grandchildren; 2 step daughters; 1 step son; 9 step-grandchildren; 1 great step grandchild; 5 nieces; 1 nephew and 4 cousins. Her family wishes to extend special thanks to the nurses and staff at Hospice of Northwest Ohio on Detroit Ave. and the Franciscan Care Center for the excellent care that she received. Friends are invited to visit from 2:00-8:00pm on Monday January 30, 2017 in the Ansberg-West Funeral Home, 3000 Sylvania Ave. where a Rosary will be recited at 7:00pm. The Mass of the Resurrection will begin on Tuesday at 10:00am at The Most Blessed Sacrament Church. Interment will follow in Calvary Cemetery.
