Marshall L. “Gramps” Freeman, 88, passed away Wednesday July 4, 2012 at Flower Hospital. He was born March 20, 1924 to Samuel and Mildred Freeman in Toledo. A graduate of Woodward High School, Marshall honorably served his country as a member of the Navy during World War II. He worked at S.E. Freeman and Sons and had the ability to fix anything that was broken. Gramps enjoyed fishing, camping, traveling, but especially cherished the time he spent with his grandchildren and great grandchildren. He is survived by his daughters, Sandra (Gary) Lewandowski, Marcia (Steve) Lareau, sister, Marlene Burrey; 4 grandchildren, Heather (Sean) Torgerson, Michael (Tammy) Tackett, Sandy (Tom) Shepard, Jeff (Ashley) Lareau and 9 great grandchildren. Special thanks to the nurses and staff on the 5th floor of Flower Hospital for the loving care. Friends are invited to visit from 2:00 to 8:00pm Sunday at the Ansberg-West Funeral Home 3000 Sylvania Avenue where services will be held 11:00am Monday.
