Mary Jean Lancaster

March 19, 1929 - January 15, 2011

Mary J. “Jean” “Thomson” Lancaster of west Toledo, passed away Saturday, January 15, 2011, at Hospice of Northwest Ohio, Toledo. She worked for Travelers Insurance and retired after 34 years. Mary was preceded in death by her parents, Louis M. and Frances Thomson; her husband, C. Harold “Woody” Lancaster and her brother, Louis M. Thomson, Jr. Surviving are several nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be held at 2:30 p.m., Sunday, January 23, 2011, at Calvary United Methodist Church, 3939 Jackman Road. Reverend Robert Baugher will officiate. Interment will be private in Toledo Memorial Park. Mary, God said you were not ours to keep. He said he would lend His child to us until it was time for her to come home, so when He heard you say you were tired, He whispered in your ear, come to me and I will let you rest. Mary, we love you and miss you, good-bye until we meet again.
