Mary L. Pedro Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

Mary Lynn Pedro, age 96, of Toledo, Ohio, "flew away" on Sunday, March 13, surrounded in the love of her family. Mary was born on Christmas Eve 1919, at home, in Syracuse, New York to Bridget and Anthony Lynn. Mary was a graduate and Valedictorian of the Class of 1937 of St. John's Catholic Academy, Syracuse, New York. During WWII, Mary worked as a Supervisor 03F at the Army Supply Depot at the fairgrounds in Syracuse, New York. It is there that she met the love of her life, Lieutenant Alfred J. Pedro. Mary's longest job was that of Mom to her twelve children. She cared and loved each of her children in her own special way. Mary was very proud of her Irish Heritage. She was a member of the Daughters of Erin and a charter member of the Ancient Order of Hibernians. Mary is survived by her children, Mary Bain, Ann Barash, Alfred Pedro, John (Laura) Pedro, Patricia Carmean, James (Sue) Pedro, Timothy (Karen) Pedro, Eileen Durham, Martin (Lynn) Pedro, Margaret Schotter (Craig Schotter) and Colleen (Edward) Taylor. Mary also has 34 grandchildren, 18 great grandchildren, and 1 great great grandchild. Mary is also survived by sisters, Ann Franz and Agnes Ehle. She was preceded in death by husband, Alfred J., son, Joseph, grandson, James Pedro. Sons - In- Law, David Bain, Daniel Barash, Michael Carmean and Mark Durham. Parents, sister, Kathleen Leskoske, brothers, John, James, and Joseph Lynn. A special thank you to Mary's caregivers, Carol and Marsha. And the medical professionals who cared for our Mom both at home and at her "Vacation Home." Visitation will be held on Sunday, March 20, from 1 to 8 PM at Ansberg-West Funeral Home, 3000 Sylvania Ave., Toledo, Ohio 43613. The Ancient Order of Hibernians will have a service at 7 PM followed by the Rosary. Funeral mass will be held on Monday, March 21, at 11:00 AM at Historic St. Patrick's Church.
