Mary Rose (Ray) Rossler
January 29, 1928 - February 7, 2022
Mary Rose Rossler aged 94, passed away peacefully in her sleep at her residence at Lakes of Monclova assisted living on February 7, 2022. Mary Rose was born on January 29, 1928 in Toledo, Ohio to John and Veronica (Williams) Ray. She attended St Anne`s grade school then went on to attend Central Catholic High school, graduating class of 1946. Mary Rose met her future husband when his family moved into the house across from the Ray family on Hollywood Ave. They began dating when Richard returned from serving in WWII. They eventually married in June of 1949 and went on to have 5 children and devoted her life as a housewife and loving mother. She was a lifelong member of Blessed Sacrament Parish for over 60 years. She was very involved in volunteering for many parish activities such as the parish festival, parish bingo, funeral luncheons and the senior group. She enjoyed reading, jigsaw puzzles and was always baking some goodies to share with family and neighbors. Mary Rose is survived by her sons, Donald (Rebecca) Rossler, Dennis (Rebecca) Rossler, Joseph (Brigid) Rossler; daughter, Marcia (Stephen) Doncouse & Son-in-law: Jeffrey McLeod; grandchildren, Nicole (Justin) Mullins, Jacob (Danielle) Rossler, Caitlin and Kaylee Doncouse, Cameron McLeod and Madelyn Rossler; great grandchildren, Olivia & Will Mullins, Henry & Bristol Rossler; Margaret “Margie” Meegan is her only surviving sibling. In addition to her parents Mary Rose was preceded in death by her loving husband, Richard Rossler, oldest daughter, Cynthia McLeod and grandson, Jacob Anthony Rossler along with her siblings and their spouses. Visitation will be held from 3:00pm to 8:00pm Tuesday February15,2022 at Ansberg – West Funeral Home 3000 W Sylvania, Toledo, Ohio. Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated 11:00 am Wednesday February16, 2022 at Blessed Sacrament church 2240 Castlewood Dr. Toledo Ohio, where friends are invited to visit after 10:00am in the narthex. Memorial contributions may be considered for the American Cancer Society or Blessed Sacrament Parish.
