Nora Assally

Nora Assally, 91, passed away Sunday, April 26, 2009 at the Toledo Hospital. She is survived by her children: Fred (Marsha) Assally Jr., Barbara (Louis) Simon, Cheryl Assally, Georgia (Al) Lucarelli, and Judith (Chuck) McGhee. Also surviving are Nora's sisters: Toni Ryan and Verdeen Smith; 11 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren, and 1 great-great-grandchild, as well as her best friend, Esther Szczepanek. She is preceded in death by her husband, Fred Assally Sr. A special thanks to Dr. Nancy Stadler, and caregivers: Ebbe Anderson, Shirley Simmons, and Donna Eulett. Visitation will be Wednesday, April 29 from 3:00-9:00 p.m., with a prayer service at 7:00 p.m., at the Ansberg-West Funeral Home, 3000 Sylvania Ave. The service for Nora will be Thursday at 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home.
