Norma J. Zawodni, 82, passed away on October 5, 2013 in Flower Hospital. She was born in Toledo on July 6, 1931 to Irene and Leo Jankowski. Norma spent her childhood growing up in the old Polish Village and was a graduate of Whitney High School. Prior to returning to the Toledo area in 1998, she and her husband Roman lived in North Carolina and Indiana. They enjoyed traveling together and especially enjoyed celebrating their 50th wedding anniversary in Hawaii. Norma will be remembered as a kind and loving person and will be missed by all who knew her. She is survived by her loving husband of 63 years, Roman; children, Bonnie (Eric) Johanssen, Rick (Denise) Zawodni, Kenneth (Christine) Zawodni of Tennessee; sister, Shirley Ziemkiewicz; grandchildren, Jeff, Kara, Richard, Jenelle, Sonja, Kelly-Marie, Alyson, Jana, Kate, Samantha and 14 great-grandchildren. Friends and family are invited to visit on Wednesday, October 9, 2013 from 4:00-8:00PM in the Ansberg-West Funeral Home, 3000 Sylvania Ave. where the Rosary will be recited at 7:00PM. The Mass of the Resurrection will begin at Christ the King Church at 10:00AM on Thursday. Rev. William Rose Officiant. Interment will be in Toledo Memorial Park Cemetery.
