Paul A. Bradish
March 14, 1961 - April 4, 2010
Bradish Paul A. Paul Andrew Bradish, 49, went to be with the Lord on Easter morning, April 4, 2010 at the University of Michigan Medical Center in Ann Arbor, following a long series of major health issues and complications from his most recent surgical procedure. Born in Toledo, Ohio on March 14, 1961 to Harold and Jeannine Bradish, Paul frequently battled congenital heart problems, yet became a 1980 graduate of Emmanuel Baptist High School. In March 1995, Paul was blessed to be the (former) Medical College of Ohio's 42nd successful heart transplant recipient. Realizing his lifelong dream of becoming a paramedic in 1998, Paul compassionately cared for hundreds of patients during his employment with Rumpf Ambulance, The Toledo Hospital, and as a volunteer medic for young football players for both the Longfellow-Larchmont Steelers and Toledo Christian School Jr. High program. An avid fisherman, Christian music lover, long time Miami Dolphin and M*A*S*H fan, Paul's wit and humor were perhaps his greatest gift and legacy. Paul is survived and greatly missed by his wife of twenty-two years, Yvette (Taube) Bradish; son Andrew Paul Bradish; daughter Amanda Marie Bradish; father Harold Bradish; sister Debra Bradish; brother Richard (Debbi) Bradish; nieces, nephews, in-laws, and many wonderful and special friends. He was preceded in death by his mom, Jeannine Bradish, who he is now joyfully reunited with in heaven. Visitation will be at the Ansberg West Funeral Home, 3000 West Sylvania Avenue, Toledo, Ohio, Wednesday, April 7, from 3:00 to 9:00. A memorial celebration service will be at Hope Community Church of the Nazarene, 2737 Navarre Avenue, Oregon, Ohio 43616, on Thursday, April 8 at 11:00 a.m., with interment immediately following at Toledo Memorial Park in Sylvania, Ohio. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be made to the Building Program at Hope Community Church of the Nazarene. www.ansberg-west.com
