Ronnie Douglas Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

Ronnie “Rock” Douglas rode his Harley through the pearly gates, on Wednesday, March 17, 2010, after a long and courageous battle with leukemia. He was born in Toledo, OH, April 26, 1959. Ron graduated from Woodward High School and worked at Vroman's, for many years. He had a lifelong passion for building and riding Harley's. Being a free spirit, his motto was “ride to live and live to ride.” Ronnie was a devoted father, brother and friend. He would give you the shirt off his back, if you needed it (and even if you didn't). He had a heart of gold and touched the lives of everyone he met. Ronnie was preceded in death by his father, Roman Douglas Smolinski and his mother, Margie Eisenbach. Survivors include his former wife and dear friend, Sandy Storer; his “squids”, Jodi, Lindsey, and Cody Douglas; siblings, Sharon Tkaczyk, Susan Douglas, Raymond Douglas and Donna (Chris) Watson; many nieces, nephews and his unborn first grandchild. Friends are invited to visit from 12 Noon until 6 p.m. Sunday, in the Ansberg-West Funeral Home, 3000 Sylvania Avenue, where funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday. Interment will follow in Pleasantview Cemetery, Petersburg, MI. Memorial contributions may be made to the Douglas Family Childeren. The family would like to give a special thanks to the University of Toledo Medical Center 4AB Staff, especially Stephanie, Bea and Becky; MCCU Staff, especially Silke and Steve, and the Cancer Institute Staff.
