Theodore Kozlowski, 89, of Toledo, OH, passed away May 15, 2011, surrounded by his loving family. Born January 1, 1922 in Toledo, Ohio, he was the son of late Harry and Mary Ann (Domian) Kozlowski. Todd graduated from Woodward High School and went on to work for Henry J. Spieker Company, later retiring from the Toledo Board of Education. He was a member of St. Clement Church, the Alliance of Poles (Group #48), and the Maumee Elks (#1850). He proudly devoted 26 years of his life to Troop #1 of the Boy Scouts where he was awarded a medal of honor as a Merit Badge Counselor & Assistant Scout Master. Todd was an avid golfer, loved to fish, enjoyed playing cards, and took great joy in his family. He had a gift in the Arts with his passion for drawing and he constantly portrayed his talents in woodworking by showering his family, friends, & neighbors with endless gifts made from his creative designs. He was also an ardent collector of Die-cast cars. For 22 years, Todd and his wife, Joan, traveled to Isla Del Sol, St. Petersburg, Florida, where they spent 3 months/year with many dear friends. Todd is survived by his loving wife, Joan Kozlowski of Toledo, OH; brother, Eddie (Chow) Kozlowski of Toledo, OH; sons, Thomas Kozlowski of Toledo, OH & Timothy (Jeannie) Kozlowski of Ottawa Lake, MI; stepsons, Terry (Cherie) Majoros of Toledo, OH, Scott (Becky) Majoros of Pinellas Park, FL.; Kevin Majoros of Baltimore, MD; stepdaughter, Jill (James) Lieber of Maumee, OH; grandchildren Theodore(Rachael) Kozlowski ,Stillwater, MN. Alex , Huntington Beach, CA , Laura and Eddie Kozlowski, Ottawa Lake, MI; step-grandchildren, Holli (Andrew) Oess of Maumee, OH; Jeff (Corrine) Majoros of Lambertville, MI; Joshua Majoros of Toledo, OH; Alexis, Ashley, Aarron, Abrielle, Alyvia, & Alec Lieber of Maumee, OH. Also surviving are his many nieces, nephews, & great-grandchildren. In addition to his parents, Todd was preceded in death by his sister, Jean Asman of Sacramento, CA. The memories of the love, laughter, & joy Todd blessed us all with will be forever cherished. His caring & loving virtues will be truly missed by everyone who touched his life. Todd's family wishes to thank the nurses and doctors at St. Anne's ICU for all their wonderful care and support. The family will receive guests Wednesday from 2-8 p.m. at Ansberg ??"West Funeral Home, 3000 W. Sylvania Ave. Prayers will begin at 9:15 a.m. Thursday from the funeral home followed by the Funeral Mass at 10 a.m. at St. Clement Church. Todd's final resting place will be Resurrection Cemetery, at a later date. Those wishing to make donations in Todd's memory may consider a Boy Scout Troop (of your choice) or St. Clement Church.
