V. Richard Redd

September 12, 1930 - August 18, 2011

Redd V. Richard V. Richard Redd, 80, passed away on Thursday August 18, 2011 in Hospice of Northwest Ohio. He was born in Newark Ohio on September 12, 1930 to Anne and Virgil Redd. Richard was a very talented man and was employed by Nationwide Insurance, sold real estate for the state of Ohio, and was a manager for New York Carpet world for 25 years prior to his retirement. He was a member at Rubicon Masonic Lodge #237, and Fairgreen Presbyterian Church. He was also an active member of Alcoholics Anonymous for 32 years and was a founding member of the Kenwood group which began in 1983. He is survived by his children, Kathleen (Larry) Wise, Steven Redd; step-children, Michael (Ellie) Jordan, John (Julie) Jordan, Patrick (Judy) Jordan, Joseph (Stas Krukowski) Jordan, Julie (Paul) Jordan-Harrington, 13 grandchildren; 2 great-grandchildren and life partner of over three years, Jackie Campbell of Waterville. Friends are invited to visit on Tuesday August 23, 2011 from 9:00-11:00AM in the Ansberg-West Funeral Home, 3000 Sylvania Ave. where Masonic services will begin at 11:00am and will be immediately followed by funeral services officiated by Rev. Pat Lawrence-Shafer. Those wishing to make memorial contributions are asked to consider the Special Olympics, Fairgreen Presbyterian Memorial Fund, or the charity of the donor's choice. www.ansberg-west.com
