Wilbur Dusseau
June 1, 1912 - April 21, 2010
Wilbur Dusseau, 97, passed away April 21, 2010 at Lake Park. He was born June 1, 1912 to Cornelius and Loretta Dusseau in Toledo. Bill married Dorothy Flynn on October 12, 1935 and was blessed with her love and attention until her death, July 28, 2007. Living to cherish their parents are William (Mary Lou) , Richard (Anita) and Robert (Denise). Bill was a very special Grampy to sixteen grandchildren , seventy great grandchildren and one great-great granddaughter. Bill is survived by loving sisters Ethel Kerscher, Ruth Drake and Doris Blagus and by many nieces, nephews and others that were “family” to him. He was also preceded in death by his brother Elroy and, so sadly, by great grandson Luke DeRaedt. Bill attended Central Catholic High School. He supported his family as a tool and die maker and a motion-picture projectionist at the Paramount and other Toledo theaters, but he believed his true vocation was teaching machine trades at Whitmer High School until retirement. His hobbies included flying, motorcycling, boating and traveling throughout the country with Dorothy in their motor home. He was a long time member of the Bay View Yacht Club and never missed a chance to crew in the Mills Trophy Race or the Port Huron-Mackinaw Race. . Mass of the Resurrection will be celebrated at 10:00am Monday in Little Flower Church, where friends are invited to visit after 9:00am in the narthex. Visitation will be held from 2:00 to 8:00pm Sunday in the Ansberg-West Funeral Home 3000 Sylvania Avenue. Memorial contributions may be made to Little Flower Church.
