Lucia M. Sieja

Our "Most Precious Treasure", Lucia M. Sieja, 67, of Holland, OH, passed away peacefully in the loving arms of her husband and children, in her home on Wednesday, August 22, 2007. Lucia was born in Toledo, OH, on August 15, 1940. She was the daughter of Anna Bulone, of Toledo and Jim Bulone, who is deceased. Lucia married Tom Sieja on August 9, 1958 and they just celebrated their 49th anniversary. Lucia graduated from Whitney Vocational School, in 1958, where she majored in cosmetology. After raising her young children, Alan and Margaret to be kind, loving and caring, Lucia embarked on a successful career in the beauty business. She trained and received advanced degrees in the areas of skin care, such as facials, make-up, electrolysis, microdermabrasion, permanent make-up and salon management. She successfully owned and managed salons in Toledo, Sylvania and Florence, Alabama, over a period of twenty-five years. She developed her own private label line of cosmetics under the brand name, "Lucia's Cosmetics". She had an inner beauty, charm and loving kindness, that endeared her to everyone. Not only was she extremely successful in managing and operating Lucia's Permanent Make-Up and Skin Care Salon", in Sylvania, OH, she recently embarked on a fantastic career change. She completed her education in "Life Coaching" and became fully licensed as a "Life Coach" in March of 2007. Her many hobbies and interests included, ballroom dancing with her husband Tom and numerous and enjoyable cruise vacations with friends and family. Lucia was our family's badminton, rummy and checkers champion. She actively participated in all the family gatherings and picnics. Lucia donated much of her time, services and talents to various agencies in Toledo and Sylvania area representing the elderly and disadvantaged. Above all, she loved and cherished her son, daughter and husband and couldn't do enough to please them. She never missed an opportunity to plan something special, such as cooked dinners and our favorite chocolate cake and macaroni and cheese. Lucia is survived by her dearly beloved husband of 49 years, Tom, son; Alan (David Reinhart); daughter, Margaret (Dennis) Allard; her mother, Anna Bulone; sister, Margaret Bugaj and many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews. Friends are invited to visit from 2-8 p.m. Thursday, in the Ansberg-West Funeral Home, 3000 Sylvania Avenue, (between Douglas and Secor Roads). Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday from the funeral home, with Reverend Cindy Granger officiating. Entombment will be in Resurrection Cemetery.
