Mary Ann Frances Zaborski

Mary Ann Frances (Landowski) Zaborski, passed away at age 86 on August 1, 2018 in Temperance, Michigan. Mary Ann was born on May 2, 1932 in Toledo, Ohio, to the late Frances (Hahn) and the late Theophil Landowski. She attended St. Stanislaus Elementary School and Central Catholic High School in Toledo. She worked for many years at St. Ursula Academy in the cafeteria, finally retiring in 1994. Mary Ann also worked for Miss Lucille's Catering for many years, up until 2001. She loved making puzzles, doing word search, going to Bingo, crocheting, volunteering and spending time with her sons, her other family members and especially spending time with her grandchildren when she could. Mary Ann was the beloved wife of the late Melvin Zaborski. She was preceded in death by her brother, Frank and her sisters, Florence and Virginia. She is survived by her sons, William (of Royal Oak, MI) and Lawrence (of Boston, MA) and by her daughter-in-law, Anne; grandchildren, Grace and Benjamin Zaborski; many nieces and nephews with special acknowledgment to her nieces Rose and Theresa (Landowski) and their husbands (Michael Sulewski and James Rober, respectively), whose loving efforts gave Mary Ann comfort, dignity and great happiness in her final years. She was a 50+ year member of Church of the Most Blessed Sacrament in Toledo where she sang in the Folk Choir, was a member of the Sacristy Cleaning Team, volunteered at Blessed Sacraments Bingo and gave back to the church in many other capacities. She also volunteered for many years at Heartland Holly Glen Nursing Home, running the weekly Bingo Game during and after her husband’s final years there. Her many friends and family members are invited to attend the visitation on Monday, August 6 from 2:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Ansberg-West Funeral Home, 3000 Sylvania Ave, Toledo where a Rosary Prayer Service will begin at 7:00 p.m. Friends may also visit after 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday in The Most Blessed Sacrament Church, where The Mass of the Resurrection will begin at 11:00 a.m. Rev.
